Clans of AOKP

Within the Artorian Order, various like-minded people over the years have joined together to form clans — family groups who share certain values, personality traits, and goals. To date, seven of these clans have been formed. Those who have not chosen (or not yet chosen) to join one of the clans are referred to as "free citizens."
Caerna
Leaders and Schemers
First among the clans, Caernas pride themselves on getting the job done. Taking the most efficient path to achieve the goal sometimes requires actions that others consider less-than-honorable, but the goal is always to serve the Light. Caernas do the dirty work so that the other Companions don't have to.

McQuillion
Honorable Warriors
Established as a direct response to Clan Caerna, the descendants of Noble King Ronin McQuillion espouse honor in all actions. Striving to be effective defenders of the Light, martial prowess is typical among their members, though not ubiquitous, as there are other ways to defend the Light than by force of arms alone.

Caradoc
Lovers of Life
Celebrating the "Three Fs" of Fighting, Feasting, and Fun, the Caradocs enjoy the simple pleasures of life to the fullest. While some see their ways as simple, even going so far as to call them stupid, it is more accurate to say that they are focused on what is truly important. Formidable on the battle field, passionate in the boudoir, voracious at the feasting table.

Ia Gondol
Peaceful Partiers
Founded on principles of non-violence, the Gondols are a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky lot who prefer strong drink and diplomacy over the more martial tendencies of many other Companions. Usually able, or at least willing, to drink you under the table, that is oft-times where they can be found, sleeping it off.

Zandofar
Zany and Chaotic
Born of gypsy stock, the clan founded by the wacky Zandofar Brothers, Tristan and Trell, are a hodge-podge of eclectic humor. Nothing is sacred or taboo to these jokers, except the urge to sew chaos and confusion.

Minister Lorath Hawksmoor Zandofar (Chieftain)
Dragonsbane
Family
First and foremost a family, the Dragonsbanes are known for defending each other from outside attacks, and yet also incessant in-fighting. More than one Dragonsbane has known the unfriendly feeling of his or her sibling's steel between the shoulderblades. Unlike other clans, they do not have a "thane" or any other "leader" as such; one member is usually designated as Prime to serve as spokesperson for the clan.

Valdyr
Vikings and Innovators
The newest of the clans, Valdyr espouse a definite connection to the sea and to Viking culture. Seeking to improve the Court of Light by improving themselves as individuals, ambition and creativity are common traits among their members. Upon entry to the clan, each member gains control of his or her own drakkar, or dragon boat. The clan's thane, referred to as "Admiral," also controls the clan's enormous black, ten-masted, dual-hulled dragon ship, the Drakkar Noir.
